We inspect, seal and insulate attics in Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead and the Minnesota lakes area. Every job starts with a 45-minute Attic Health Check: camera, tape measure, photos to you.

Most of the calls we get start with one of these six. Tap what fits and it's added to your request.
Your attic is the lid on the house. Warm air rises, leaves through it in January and pulls cold air in behind it. That's why the basement is cold and the upstairs is stuffy at the same time. Four things go wrong, in this order.

Top plates, plumbing chases, wire holes, the bath fan, the hatch. Every gap in the attic floor works like a chimney. More air leaves a house through the attic than anywhere else.

It doesn't stop air. Blow more on top of open leaks and the leaks keep running underneath it. Sealing comes before insulating. That order is the whole job.

House air hits the cold roof deck and freezes. Roof snow melts from underneath and refreezes at the eaves. Not a gutter problem. Not a roof problem.

Most attics here started around R-19. Compressed, dusty and gappy, they act closer to R-10. Our climate wants R-49 or better. We insulate to R-60 and leave the depth marker in the attic so you can see it.
Six things you can see from the hatch or the driveway. Each one points to a specific problem above your ceiling. Tell us what you found and we'll start there.
Shine a light up from the hatch in January.
While the neighbors' roofs stay white. Check from the driveway.
Joists are about 6 inches tall. R-60 is about 18 inches.
A flex duct lying in the insulation, or no duct at all.
Usually a room at the end of the house or over the garage.
Or a smell when the furnace kicks on.
The Attic Health Check tells us which one your house needs. You get the findings, the photos and a written price before anything is scheduled. Same crew, same materials, same warranty on all three.
About an hour's drive from Fargo or from Nevis. On the edge of the circle? Ask.
Three quick steps. One of us calls you back the same business day to set a time, usually within the week.
Plan on about 45 minutes for the Attic Health Check. You don't need to clear anything out.
